The Corporate Investment International office was opened in Mishawaka in 1987 by John Schwind to fill the local need of small and medium sized businesses for business brokerage. Although the company has been located in several different locations in the Michiana area since that first office was opened, its mission has not changed. Although he enjoys a reduced role in retirement, John is still affiliated with the company.
The current owner, Jeffrey Freers first became affiliated with CII in 1992 as a broker and acquired the company in 2004 after the untimely passing of Larry Parnell, its second owner.
Mr. Freers is a third generation small business owner who has lived his entire lifetime in northern Indiana. He is President and owner of The Freers Corporation, the parent company of CII and also The Executive Suite at Jefferson Centre, an Office Business Center located in Downtown South Bend. He is actively engaged in the Michiana business community as Secretary of the Michiana Consultants RoundTable, a member of the Downtown South Bend Rotary Club and as a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Corporate Investment International is wholly owned and operated by The Freers Corporation and Indiana corporation.
